The Opportunity
We are looking for a Finance Controller who will own the complete controllership function of RK Group — reporting directly to the Founder. This is a high-trust, high-visibility role. Treasury is managed separately and is not in scope for this position.

Key Responsibilities
- Own monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting across all group entities (consolidated + standalone)
- End-to-end month-close and year-end close management
- Manage statutory, tax, and internal audits — full lifecycle
- Ensure 100% compliance across GST, TDS, advance tax, and income tax filings
- Oversee accounts payable, receivable, and all reconciliations
- Lead budgeting, rolling forecasts, and variance analysis; present findings directly to the Founder
- Design, document, and enforce internal controls and SOPs across the group
- Govern ERP and accounting systems; drive automation and process improvement
- Build and lead a team of 5–12 finance professionals — hiring, mentoring, performance management
- Prepare financial sections of board packs, investor decks, and ad-hoc reports for the Founder

Who We Are Looking For
Must-have:
• Chartered Accountant (ICAI) — qualified
• 10+ years post-qualification experience in a Finance Controller or equivalent role
• Prior experience in a promoter-driven / founder-led Indian company — business group, family-run enterprise, or founder-led high-growth organisation (past or present)
• Proven track record of managing a finance team
• Strong command of Ind AS / Indian GAAP, GST, TDS, and income tax
• Based in Bengaluru or open to immediate relocation
Good to have:
• Experience in e-commerce, retail, or multi-vertical groups
• Exposure to NBFC / fintech entities
• Involvement in fundraising, M&A, or due diligence
• Familiarity with ICRA / credit rating processes
