K P Namboodiri's Ayurvedics (KPNA) is a heritage Ayurvedic and herbal wellness brand with a legacy spanning generations, best known for personal care products and now growing into skin and hair care. As we enter our next phase of growth, we're building institutional strength across the organisation, starting with finance.
We're looking for a Finance Controller to build a structured, data-driven finance function from the ground up. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role reporting to the Finance Head, and it sits at the center of how KPNA makes decisions on cost, pricing, and growth.
WHAT YOU'LL OWN
Financial Closing and MIS
– Set up and run a disciplined monthly closing process
– Standardise reporting so leadership gets consistent, timely visibility into revenue, cost, and profitability
Costing and Profitability
– Build SKU-level costing frameworks and standard costing models
– Drive variance analysis and profitability insights by product and channel
– Support pricing and margin decisions with real numbers, not estimates
Inventory and Working Capital
– Strengthen inventory tracking, reconciliation, and ageing analysis
– Improve control and visibility over working capital
Finance Operations and Controls
– Own the accuracy and integrity of day-to-day financial records
– Build the processes and controls that don't exist yet, not just maintain the ones that do
Business Partnering
– Work directly with sales, marketing, manufacturing, and supply chain to turn numbers into decisions
– Support the Finance Head in business reviews and planning
Team Building
– Recruit, train, and grow the finance team as the function scales
– Build capability and a culture of discipline and ownership within the team
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
– 8 to 14 years in finance, ideally in manufacturing or FMCG
– Strong background in financial reporting, costing, and operational finance
– Comfortable with financial modelling and finance systems
– CA or CMA preferred, not mandatory for the right candidate
– Malayalam or Tamil speaking
WHY THIS ROLE
This isn't a maintenance job. KPNA is at a stage where the finance function is being built, not just run, and this role shapes what it becomes. If you want ownership over systems and decision-support rather than routine reporting, this is that role.
