Role Description
As Fyn scales its business across multiple cities, we are strengthening our finance function to support disciplined growth, capital efficiency, and investor readiness.
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Bengaluru for the position of Financial Controller. The Financial Controller will oversee financial management, including preparing accurate financial statements, managing budgeting processes, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and analyzing financial reports to support strategic decisions. The role will also involve improving financial processes and collaborating with leadership to support business growth and operational efficiency.
Roles & Responsibilities
Oversee monthly and annual bookkeeping and closure activities.
Financial modelling & budgeting
Investor management & Fund Raising
Monthly and quarterly budget vs actuals comparison with variance analysis
Preparation of monthly information report (MIS) and review with Founders
Statutory Compliances (GST)
Financial and Operational assessment
Cost control measures
Internal controls verification, implementation and testing- financial modelling
Prepare and go through due diligence for investment - equity and debt funding
Treasury management
Contract negotiations, IRR assessment and recommendations
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Financial Statements and Financial Reporting, including preparation and analysis
- Solid foundation in Finance and Accounting principles, with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent Analytical Skills for interpreting financial data and identifying insights
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning
- Proficiency in accounting software and financial tools. Working knowledge on Zoho Books is a plus
- Strong communication and leadership skills to manage teams and interact with stakeholders
- Must be a Chartered Accountant.
- Candidates with startup experience are preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; advanced degrees are a plus
