Job description
The Finance controller will oversee the financial operations of the organization, ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulations. This position is well suited for someone with in-depth understanding of accounting principles, strong analytical skills with effective communication.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Operations & Accounting
· Manage day-to-day accounting activities (AP, AR, invoicing, payments)
· Maintain accurate financial records and ensure proper documentation
· Conduct bank reconciliations and monitor financial transactions
· Support in payroll administration and full and final settlements
2. Financial Reporting & Analysis
· Assist in preparing monthly MIS reports, Cash flow statements and relevant KPIs for the business
· Trend analysis of the KPIs
· Support preparation of basic financial statements
3. Budgeting & Planning
· Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities
· Monitor actuals vs budget and variation analysis
· Prepare rolling forecast based on the actuals
4. Compliance & Audit Support
· Ensure adherence to statutory requirements (GST, TDS, etc.)
· Maintain records for audit readiness
· Coordinate with auditors and external consultants when required
5. Business Support
· Work with internal teams to track expenses and improve cost visibility
· Provide basic financial inputs to support decision-making
· Support ad-hoc finance-related tasks as needed
Preferable skills
· Finance & Accounting Basics
· Strong understanding of accounting principles
· Working knowledge of GST, TDS, and other regulatory compliance
· Experience with Tally and Zoho
· 4–5 years of relevant experience in finance/accounting
· Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Commerce, or related field
· Experience in a startup or high-growth environment is a plus
