Role Overview
We are looking for a Business Finance / Finance Controller professional who can act as a strong finance business partner to leadership teams and support strategic decision-making through financial insights, commercial analysis, and operational finance excellence.
The ideal candidate should come from a technology, IT/ITES, SaaS, startup, consulting, or high-growth environment and should be comfortable working in fast-paced and evolving business setups.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Business Finance & Commercial Partnering
· Partner with business leaders to drive strategic and financial decision-making.
· Work closely with cross-functional teams including Sales, Operations, Product, and Leadership teams.
· Drive pricing analysis, commercial evaluations, profitability analysis, and margin improvement initiatives.
· Support business growth through financial modelling, scenario planning, and revenue analysis.
· Analyze business performance, cost structures, and operational metrics to identify growth and optimization opportunities.
2. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
· Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning exercises.
· Monitor actual performance against budgets and forecasts and provide actionable insights.
· Prepare management MIS, dashboards, variance analysis, and business review presentations.
· Drive data-backed decision-making through financial and operational analytics.
3. Finance Operations & Controllership
· Ensure strong financial controls, compliance, and governance processes.
· Oversee monthly closing, reporting, reconciliations, and financial reviews.
· Drive audit, taxation, statutory compliance, and internal control processes.
· Improve finance processes, automation, and reporting systems.
4. Stakeholder Management
· Interface with senior leadership and business stakeholders regularly.
· Present financial insights and recommendations to management teams.
· Collaborate with external auditors, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
Desired Candidate Profile
Preferred Background: Experience in IT, ITES, SaaS, technology startups, consulting, or high-growth organizations. Exposure to Business Finance, Commercial Finance, FP&A, Pricing, or Finance Business Partnering roles. Experience working in fast-paced and dynamic business environments.
Technical Skills: Strong Excel and financial modelling skills.Experience with ERP systems such as SAP,Tally, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.
Qualification
• CA / CMA from reputed institutes.
• Preferred experience: 5 to 10 years.
