Summary
The Supervisor – Order to Cash (O2C) is responsible for overseeing end-to-end O2C operations, including invoicing, collections, cash application, and dispute resolution. This role ensures compliance with company policies, drives process improvements, and manages a team to achieve operational excellence. Ideal candidates will have 6–10 years of experience in O2C processes and strong leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Order Management
- Review and validate customer orders for accuracy, pricing, credit limits, and contract terms.
- Ensure timely order entry and fulfillment in line with SLAs and internal controls.
- Collaborate with Sales, Supply Chain, and Customer Service to resolve order-related issues.
- Billing and Invoicing
- Oversee accurate and timely generation of invoices in compliance with customer and tax requirements.
- Ensure alignment of billing data with contracts, purchase orders, and shipment details.
- Accounts Receivable & Collections
- Monitor customer accounts to ensure timely collection of outstanding invoices.
- Implement effective credit control and collection strategies to minimize DSO (Days Sales Outstanding).
- Handle escalations related to disputed invoices or payment discrepancies.
- Cash Application
- Supervise and ensure accurate posting of incoming payments to the appropriate accounts.
- Reconcile bank receipts and investigate unapplied or unidentified cash.
- Coordinate with Treasury and Finance teams for accurate month-end reporting.
- Credit Management
- Conduct periodic credit risk reviews and recommend credit limits.
- Liaise with Sales and Finance to ensure compliance with company credit policies.
- Manage customer master data and ensure data accuracy.
- Reporting and Analytics
- Prepare and analyze O2C metrics (AR aging, DSO, collection efficiency, bad debt).
- Identify trends and areas for process improvement.
- Process Improvement & Compliance
- Lead or support process automation and standardization initiatives (e.g., ERP enhancements, RPA, workflow tools).
- Ensure compliance with SOX controls, company policies, and audit requirements.
- Provide training and guidance to team members on O2C best practices.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- 8–10 years of experience in Order to Cash operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and O2C best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze data and generate actionable insights.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
