Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Financial Analyst role based in Mumbai. The Financial Analyst will interpret and analyze financial statements, prepare detailed financial reports, and support financial planning and forecasting activities for clients and internal stakeholders. The role involves building and maintaining financial models, conducting variance and trend analyses, and evaluating key performance indicators to inform credit and investment decisions. The analyst will collaborate with rating, consulting, and ESG teams to produce data-backed recommendations, write concise analytical notes, and present findings to management or clients. Responsibilities also include staying current on regulatory changes, sector developments, and macroeconomic trends that affect financial performance.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Finance and Financial Planning, including budgeting, forecasting, and evaluation of business performance.
- Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and draw clear, actionable conclusions.
- Candidates should possess expertise in Financial Statements and Financial Reporting, including preparation, analysis, and compliance with relevant standards.
- Relevant academic background such as a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CFA, FRM, CA) are an advantage.
- Strong proficiency in Excel and financial modeling tools; familiarity with databases, BI tools, or statistical software is beneficial.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information to diverse stakeholders.
- Attention to detail, high ethical standards, and the ability to work both independently and as part of cross-functional teams.
- Prior experience in credit analysis, investment research, consulting, or related financial roles is preferred.
