Job Title: Financial / Accounting Analyst

Position Overview
BLKBOX.ai is looking for a Financial / Accounting Analyst to manage day-to-day financial operations and accounting coordination across India and international entities (US / Mexico support).
This is an individual contributor role where the candidate will work closely with external accounting partners (CA / CS firms), payroll vendors, and the internal leadership team to ensure smooth financial operations, compliance coordination, and accurate financial reporting.
The ideal candidate should be highly organized, detail-oriented, comfortable working independently, and capable of managing multiple financial processes in a fast-paced startup environment.
Strong English communication skills are required as the role involves coordination with international teams.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Operations & Reporting
• Maintain and update financial records in **QuickBooks Online**, ensuring transactions are properly recorded and categorized.
• Assist with preparation and review of **financial reports including Profit & Loss statements and Balance Sheets**.
• Track operational expenses and ensure accurate financial documentation.
• Support internal financial reporting and management review processes.
Reconciliation & Financial Monitoring
• Perform **monthly bank and credit card reconciliations** and identify discrepancies.
• Review financial transactions and highlight inconsistencies where required.
• Track and reconcile **digital platform billing, subscriptions, and operational expenses**.
Vendor & Expense Management
• Review and organize **vendor invoices, payments, and expense documentation**.
• Coordinate with vendors regarding billing, documentation, and payment tracking.
• Monitor employee expense reports and reimbursement requests.
India Accounting & Compliance Coordination
• Coordinate with **external CA / CS firms** for statutory compliance including:
* TDS
* PF / PT
* GST related documentation (if applicable)
* Income tax filings and regulatory documentation
• Work closely with the **payroll processing vendor** to ensure payroll documentation and compliance processes are properly maintained.
• Maintain organized documentation for statutory payments, filings, and compliance records.
Global Finance Coordination
• Support finance coordination for **US and Mexico operations**.
• Assist with tracking **international vendor payments and financial records**.
• Ensure consistency in financial documentation across different entities.
Process & Tools
• Use **AI tools and automation where possible** to improve financial tracking, reporting efficiency, and operational workflows.
• Maintain organized financial documentation for **external accountants and auditors**.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in **Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field**
• **3–6 years of experience** in accounting, financial operations, or financial analysis roles
• Experience with **QuickBooks Online or similar accounting software**
• Familiarity with **India compliance processes (TDS, PF, PT, statutory documentation)**
• Strong proficiency in **Excel / Google Sheets**
• Strong **English communication skills** for coordination with international teams
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple financial processes
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working in **startup environments**
• Exposure to **multi-vendor financial coordination and compliance management**
• Experience supporting **cross-border financial operations**
• Familiarity with **AI tools or automation in financial workflows**
