Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Financial Accountant based in Kochi, Kerala. The Financial Accountant will manage day-to-day financial operations, including maintaining financial records, preparing accurate financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and standards. The role also includes analyzing financial data, preparing periodic financial reports, managing accounting software, and ensuring transactions are accurate and timely. The individual will work closely with internal stakeholders to assist in budget planning and support overall financial management.
Key Responsiblities
- Manage day-to-day accounting, bookkeeping, and financial records
• Handle export invoicing, foreign currency transactions, and bank reconciliations
• Process shipping documents — LC (Letter of Credit), BL, and export declarations
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and bank for remittances
• Ensure GST, TDS, and income tax compliance
• Prepare monthly P&L, cash flow statements, and financial reports
• Liaise with DGFT, MPEDA, and other regulatory bodies as needed
• Support audits and year-end closings
What We’re Looking For
• B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter or equivalent qualification
• 2–4 years of accounting experience, preferably in an export or trading company
• Hands-on knowledge of export documentation and foreign remittance procedures
• Proficiency in Tally ERP / Zoho Books or similar accounting software
• Solid understanding of GST, customs duty, and FEMA regulations
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
Nice to hear
- Prior experience in seafood, agri, or marine products export
• Familiarity with MPEDA/EIA documentation
• Working knowledge of Letter of Credit (LC) processes
