🚨 We’re Hiring | Manager / Assistant Manager – Finance & Compliance (NGO)
📍 Location: Chennai (Neelankarai)
📊 Reporting To: Vice President – Finance & Accounts Operations
🌟 About the Role
We are looking for a dynamic Finance & Compliance professional to lead financial operations, ensure donor and statutory compliance, and support strategic decision-making. This role is critical in ensuring transparency, accountability, and effective utilization of funds aligned with our mission.
🔑 Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Management & Reporting
- Prepare and monitor project & organizational budgets
- Maintain accurate financial records as per accounting standards
- Generate monthly, quarterly & annual financial reports
- Provide financial insights to support leadership decisions
2. Donor Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure compliance with donor agreements and fund utilization norms
- Manage donor audits and documentation
- Track grant disbursements and expenditures
- Draft, renew & manage donor contracts and MOUs
3. Statutory & Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure timely filing of TDS, GST, Income Tax, FCRA, etc.
- Ensure compliance with NGO regulations (FCRA, 12A, 80G, CSR, Companies Act)
- Manage HR compliance requirements
- Coordinate with auditors for annual audits
4. Internal Controls & Risk Management
- Implement financial controls, policies & procedures
- Monitor cash flows and ensure operational liquidity
- Identify financial risks and recommend mitigation strategies
- Collaborate with program & fundraising teams for project planning
👤 Candidate Profile
Essential:
- M.Com / MBA (Finance) or equivalent
- 4–8 years of experience in Finance & Accounts (NGO experience preferred)
- Strong knowledge of donor compliance & statutory regulations
- Proficiency in Tally / QuickBooks / Zoho Books & MS Excel
Desirable:
- Experience in education / skilling projects
- Project-based accounting & reporting exposure
- Experience handling FCRA & CSR-funded projects
