Company Description
This is posted under WarpDrive Tech Works, but the role is not limited to one company. Our founder runs a few businesses. Each one has its own financials. Right now, no single person owns the complete picture across all of them. This hire changes that.
We use AI a lot, not as a talking point but because it genuinely makes us faster. The person in this role will be expected to work the same way.
Role Description
- An external agency handles our accounting, compliance, and payroll. Your job begins where they stop.
- You take what they produce and make it useful. Entity-level P&Ls, cash flow positions, group-level views, dashboards that people actually check. You work across multiple businesses and family office structures. When the numbers point to a problem, you are the one who catches it.
- A lot of this role involves building the tools that make all of this possible, and using AI to do that well. This is not a quarterly reporting job. It is a live function that needs constant attention.
- No bookkeeping. No audit rooms. You read the numbers, connect the dots, and help decisions happen faster.
- You report directly to the founder. You will see, from early on, how a portfolio of businesses actually runs. The access is real. So is the pace.
Qualifications
- 0 to 3 years in finance or MIS. A strong fresher works if the fundamentals are there.
- Real Excel skills. Not pivot tables and VLOOKUPs. Data models that pull from multiple sources, financial models that span different businesses, dashboards that stay current. The founder has spent years going deep on Excel and will teach. You need solid basics and the hunger to go much further.
- You can read a P&L and tell what it is actually saying. Not recite formulas, actually read it.
- Data from different sources that does not always line up cleanly. That cannot be a problem for you.
- You are already using AI in your work. Not trying it out, actually using it.
- You figure things out, you do not wait to be told, and when something breaks you fix it and keep going.
- A degree in finance, accounting, economics, or something close.
