The Finance Manager (Gurugram)

Description The Finance Manager would be leading the full spectrum of finance, accounting, reporting and compliance functions for an established (and fast growing) pan-India Industrial/Logistics real estate portfolio. This role requires the successful candidate to (a) lead the portfolio finance teams, (b) supervise in-sourced accounting teams and (c) manage assignments related to finance, tax, compliance with Big-4 and other audit/tax firms.
This role reports to the CFO and portfolio leadership team.
General:
• Lead and oversee the corporate and portfolio controllership function including accounting operations, finance, FP&A, tax, audit, treasury and corporate compliance.
• To ensure monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, annual closure of financial records and ensure accurate financial reporting/MIS to all stakeholders
• Preparation of Standalone and Consolidated Financial Statements in accordance with Indian GAAP/Ind-AS.
• Preparation of Annual Business Plan (ABP); tracking performance and variance thereof with periodic reporting to management.
• Driving internal audit and statutory audit for the entity and co-ordination with the audit teams to ensure timely completion of audits.
• Review and compliance of lease agreements, general ledger, cost accounting, inventory accounting, revenue recognition/ invoicing, debtors/ creditors position and ageing
Tax and Compliance
• Oversee all statutory compliance under direct & indirect tax and labor laws (Income Tax, Transfer Pricing, GST, PF, ESIC, MSME, Transfer Pricing)
• Co-ordinate with external consultants for representation related to assessments with tax authorities.
• Timely completion of GST and such other direct and indirect tax audits
Financial Control and Management:
• Set-up systems, processes, SOPs for ongoing monitoring, review, and rectification of any reporting/compliance breaches.
• Periodic review of Fund flow to ensure healthy liquidity with effective cash flow forecasting, planning and monitoring.
• Implement corrective actions in consultation with Internal Auditors and management to improve internal controls
Qualifications • Chartered Accountant
Experience • 3-7 years as a Financial Controller or in a similar team handling position
• Experience in Fortune 500 or Private Equity owned portfolio companies or Institutionally owned Real Estate platforms/companies
