We are looking for Chartered Accountants for one of our global retail clients.
The Finance Manager/Head of Corporate Affairs will be responsible for managing all company financial activities, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing strategic financial guidance to senior management. This role reports directly to the Managing Director and involves leading a team of accounts professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop and oversee the implementation of financial plans, budgets, and forecasts. Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement. Provide recommendations to senior management based on financial insights.
2. Financial Reporting: Prepare and present accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
3. Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow and liquidity position, forecasting cash requirements and optimising cash management strategies. Implement measures to minimise financial risks and maximise returns on investments.
4. Budgeting and Cost Control: Lead the budgeting process, working closely with department heads to establish budget targets and monitor performance against budget. Implement cost control measures to optimise operational efficiency and profitability.
5. Financial Risk Management: Identify and assess financial risks, including currency exchange risk, interest rate risk, and credit risk. Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to safeguard company assets and financial stability.
6. Tax Planning and Compliance: Ensure compliance with all tax laws and regulations, including GST, income tax, and customs duties. Coordinate with external tax advisors and authorities to optimise tax planning strategies and minimise tax liabilities.
7. Internal Controls and Audit: Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records. Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audits and implement recommendations for process improvements.
8. Treasury Management: Manage relationships with banks and financial institutions. Negotiate favourable terms for banking services, loans, and lines of credit. Monitor and optimise investment portfolios to maximise returns while minimizing risks.
9. Knowledge of foreign exchange and Customs in an Import & Exports related company
10. Team Leadership and Development: Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and training as needed. Foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement within the finance department.
Qualifications and Skills:
An MBA in Finance, CPA, or CA will be preferred.
Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in Finance roles, with at least
3-5 years of experience in a managerial or leadership position.
Strong knowledge of Indian accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory requirements.
Proven experience in financial planning, analysis, and reporting. https://retaildetailz.com
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide strategic insights.
Advanced proficiency in financial modelling and Microsoft Excel.
Experience with ERP systems and financial software (Tally).
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
