Who are we looking for?
We are seeking a results-oriented Senior Finance Manager to lead and oversee financial operations across our India and Germany entities. We are looking for a seasoned Senior Finance Manager with 8 years+ of progressive experience in Indian finance and accounting, coupled with meaningful exposure to German financial operations and cross-border business environments. This senior role sits at the intersection of local compliance expertise and international financial strategy, making it ideal for a professional who thrives in globally connected, technology-driven organisations.
This role is critical to ensuring financial integrity, regulatory compliance, and strategic decision-making support across both regions. This role requires strong expertise in Indian finance and accounting practices, as well as exposure to German finance operations and international business environments. The candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, technology-driven Organisation with global stakeholders.
Job Summary
- Manage end-to-end finance and accounting operations, including AP, AR, payroll, banking, reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closures.
- Prepare MIS reports, P&L, balance sheet, cash flow statements, financial analysis, and consolidated management dashboards.
- Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, ROC, PF/ESI, Income Tax, VAT, and other statutory/regulatory requirements across India and Germany.
- Coordinate with auditors, consultants, banks, regulatory authorities, and external Steuerbuero for statutory, audit, and financial matters.
- Monitor working capital, cash flow planning, vendor payments, receivables, banking operations, and payment approvals.
- Manage intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and financial coordination between India and Germany entities.
- Oversee payroll processing, employee reimbursements, fixed asset accounting, and adherence to accounting standards and internal controls.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, investor reporting, strategic financial planning, and business profitability analysis.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams for financial reporting, operational metrics, ESG reporting, grant management, and R&D financial tracking.
- Drive process improvement initiatives through SOP development, automation, process optimisation, compliance documentation, and governance controls.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Commerce, or Accounting; CA preferred. CPA, CMA, or ACCA is an added advantage.
- 8+ years in finance and accounting, with at least 3 years in a Finance Manager or leadership role.
- Strong expertise in Indian accounting standards, GST, TDS, ROC, and statutory compliance.
- Experience in audits, budgeting, MIS reporting, and intercompany accounting.
- Hands-on exposure to ERP/accounting platforms such as Tally, SAP, DATEV, or similar; proficiency in MS Excel.
- Exposure to German accounting standards (HGB) or international entities is an added advantage.
