Role - Finance Manager

About the client:
Our client is a marine-based company operating out of Nellore, Andhra Pradesh, with its major business driven by exports. The company is engaged in the processing and export of marine/seafood products to international markets, and is committed to quality, compliance, and sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities
Finance & Accounts
- Oversee daily financial operations including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
- Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
- Monitor working capital, cost control measures, and profitability analysis.
- Supervise and mentor the finance and accounts team.
- Manage payroll processing and statutory compliance related to employee benefits (PF, ESI, etc.).
Export Finance & Compliance
- Manage financial and documentation processes related to export transactions, including LC (Letter of Credit), bank realization certificates (BRC), and export bills negotiation.
- Ensure compliance with export regulations under FEMA, DGFT, RBI guidelines, and Customs.
- Handle foreign exchange transactions, forward contracts, and hedging strategies to manage currency risk.
- Coordinate with banks on export packing credit (EPC/PCFC), post-shipment finance, and other export credit facilities.
- Ensure timely claim and reconciliation of export incentives/benefits such as MEIS/RoDTEP, duty drawback, and GST refunds on exports.
- Liaise with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and shipping agents on cost and documentation matters.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with international trade agreements and country-specific import regulations relevant to buyers.
Taxation & Statutory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with GST (including export-related provisions, LUT filing, zero-rated supply), TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory requirements.
- Coordinate with auditors for internal, statutory, and export-related audits (e.g., EOU/SEZ compliance if applicable); ensure timely closure of audit observations.
- Ensure accurate and timely filing of returns and other regulatory submissions, including export-related filings.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: Minimum 5–8 years of experience in finance and accounts, with significant hands-on experience in export finance, preferably in the seafood/marine, agri-export, or manufacturing export industry.
- Strong knowledge of export documentation, FEMA, DGFT policies, customs procedures, and RBI regulations governing exports.
- Working knowledge of export incentive schemes (RoDTEP, duty drawback, Advance Authorization, etc.).
- Familiarity with foreign exchange management, forward covers, and currency risk mitigation.
- Strong knowledge of Indian accounting standards and taxation laws (GST, TDS, Income Tax), including export-specific provisions.
