Role Description The Finance Manager role is a full-time, on-site position based in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. The Finance Manager will oversee day-to-day financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting. Responsibilities include monitoring accounts payable and receivable, coordinating with banks and auditors, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations, and preparing periodic management reports. The role also involves supporting strategic decision-making through financial analysis, optimizing internal financial processes, and collaborating with other departments to align financial goals with business objectives.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning.
- Proficiency in accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance with relevant regulatory requirements.
- Experience working with financial software and tools, such as ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
- Ability to perform financial analysis, interpret data, and present clear insights to leadership.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Prior experience in shipping, maritime, or related industries is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CA, CMA, CPA) are a plus.
