We are looking for a Finance Manager with strong experience in D2C/ecommerce businesses who can independently manage both operational and strategic finance functions while working closely with the founders and leadership team.
This role is ideal for someone who understands the financial complexities of ecommerce-first brands and can drive financial discipline, reporting, profitability tracking, and scalable systems in a high-growth startup environment.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Finance Manager based in Faridabad. The Finance Manager will oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting while ensuring compliance with applicable financial and accounting regulations. Responsibilities include monitoring financial transactions, preparing financial reports, analyzing trends, and providing strategic insights to optimize the company’s financial performance. The position requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to support overall organizational growth and objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Finance
- Lead annual budgeting and financial planning processes
- Prepare monthly MIS, business dashboards, and management reports
- Track profitability, contribution margins, gross margins, and cash flow across channels
- Analyze marketing spends, ROI, CAC, and channel-level profitability
- Support founders with strategic decision-making and growth planning
- Build financial models for business expansion, category growth, and new launches
- Monitor working capital cycles and improve cash flow efficiency
Operational Finance
- Manage complete payment reconciliation across:
Amazon
Myntra
Nykaa
Blinkit
Zepto
Swiggy Instamart
D2C website/payment gateways
And other platforms
- Identify and resolve settlement discrepancies, claims, deductions, and leakage areas
- Ensure smooth accounts payable and receivable management
- Coordinate vendor payments and financial operations
- Manage inventory accounting and purchase tracking
Accounting & Compliance
- Oversee bookkeeping, GST, TDS, and statutory compliance
- Coordinate with auditors, CA firms, and banking partners
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
- Improve internal financial controls and process efficiency
Role Requirements
- 6–7 years of experience in finance/accounting roles
- Strong preference for candidates from:
- D2C brands
- Ecommerce-first businesses
- Consumer/startup ecosystem
- Hands-on experience with marketplace reconciliation and ecommerce finance
- Advanced Excel and MIS reporting capabilities
- Experience working in fast-paced startup environments preferred
- High ownership mindset with execution-driven approach
- Proficiency in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, and reporting
- Expertise in financial software and tools, with advanced proficiency in Excel
- Experience in compliance, tax regulations, and risk management processes
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; a CPA, CFA, or MBA is a plus
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment and manage complex financial projects
