Role Description
The Finance Manager role is a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai. This role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting for management and stakeholders. The Finance Manager will monitor and analyse cost structures, margins, and inventory-related finance for manufacturing and export activities, ensuring compliance with local and international accounting standards, tax regulations, and audit requirements. The role involves managing accounts payable and receivable, coordinating with banks and financial institutions, and optimising working capital. The Finance Manager will collaborate closely with leadership, production, and supply chain teams to support strategic decision-making, manage financial risks, and implement process improvements that enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning.
- Proficiency in financial reporting and analysis, with experience preparing management reports and dashboards.
- Knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and compliance standards relevant to manufacturing and export businesses.
- Experience with cost accounting, inventory valuation, and margin analysis in a production environment.
- Ability to work with ERP or accounting software and advanced Excel skills for data analysis.
- Demonstrated skills in risk management, internal controls, and audit coordination.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and present financial insights clearly.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CA, CMA, CPA, MBA in Finance) are an advantage.
- Prior experience in manufacturing, consumer goods, or export-driven businesses is highly beneficial.
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment, with attention to detail, integrity, and a continuous improvement mindset.
