About Knoxx Foods
Knoxx Foods is an Australian B2B food ingredient & Value Added Products (VAP) supplier serving ready-meal manufacturers and foodservice distributors. We import and supply premium bulk ingredients including tomato products, Basmati rice, coconut cream, dehydrated vegetables, starches, pasta, and other food ingredients from about 6/7 countries across the world.
As the business continues to grow, we are looking for a capable, commercially minded and highly independent Finance Manager to support our Australian operations from Bangalore.
Role Overview
Knoxx Foods is seeking a hands-on Finance Manager – Australia Operations to manage finance operations, reporting, reconciliations, cash-flow visibility, working capital tracking, landed costing, inventory-related finance controls, and process improvement for our Sydney-based business.
This role is suited to a finance professional who is comfortable supporting an overseas leadership team, working across time zones, and taking ownership without needing constant supervision.

This is not a purely transactional accounting role. The position requires strong commercial awareness, analytical capability, ownership mentality, and the ability to build scalable finance systems and reporting processes for a growing import, distribution, and food solutions business.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Operations & Control
- Oversee day-to-day finance operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and transaction accuracy.
- Ensure accounting records are accurate, complete, and audit-ready.
- Maintain and review bank reconciliations, accounting feeds, and financial records.
- Support and supervise month-end close processes.
- Monitor supplier and customer ageing reports.
- Ensure accurate allocation of landed costs, inventory costs, freight charges, duties, and related import expenses.
- Identify errors, gaps, or inconsistencies in financial data and take corrective action.
Cashflow & Working Capital Management
- Prepare and maintain rolling cashflow forecasts.
- Monitor working capital cycles, supplier payment timing, customer collections, and stock-related cash commitments.
- Support finance facility reporting, banking documentation, and funding-related requirements.
- Provide visibility to leadership on cash position, upcoming obligations, and financial risks.
- Assist with covenant reporting and other finance facility requirements where applicable.
Reporting & Commercial Analysis
- Prepare weekly and monthly management reports for the Sydney leadership team.
- Analyse margins, landed costs, freight costs, inventory movements, and operational variances.
- Provide practical commercial insights on profitability, pricing impact, cost movements, and operational performance.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Build clear reporting formats that help management make better commercial decisions.
Systems, Processes & Controls
- Improve finance processes, controls, reconciliations, and reporting structures.
- Support automation, dashboards, and better financial visibility across the business.
- Document finance procedures and help create scalable systems.
- Work with operations, procurement, logistics, and sales teams to improve accuracy and flow of financial information.
- Identify process inefficiencies and recommend practical improvements.
Compliance & External Stakeholder Support
- Assist with audit preparation and external accountant requirements.
- Coordinate with external advisors, banks, and relevant stakeholders where required.
- Support Australian compliance documentation, finance records, and reporting requirements.
- Assist with grant, funding, facility, and compliance-related documentation when required.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will have:
- CA, CPA, CMA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification preferred.
- Approximately 7–12 years of relevant finance, accounting, or commercial finance experience.
- Experience supporting an overseas business, especially Australia, will be highly regarded.
- Experience in FMCG, food manufacturing, imports, distribution, trading, logistics, or inventory-heavy businesses preferred.
- Strong understanding of operational finance, working capital, landed costing, inventory costing, and margin analysis.
- Strong Excel skills and confidence working with accounting systems.
- Experience with systems such as Xero, MYOB, NetSuite, SAP Business One, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, Tally, or similar platforms will be beneficial.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of outcomes.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reconciliation skills.
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Strong communication skills, especially when working with remote stakeholders.
- Comfortable working with Australian business hours when required, particularly during reporting cycles, month-end close, leadership meetings, and urgent operational matters.
- A hands-on attitude with the maturity to operate in a growing business environment.
What Success Looks Like
Within the first 6–12 months, the successful candidate will be expected to:
- Take ownership of routine finance operations with minimal supervision.
- Improve accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
- Strengthen reconciliations, landed costing, inventory-related controls, and cashflow visibility.
- Build reliable management reporting for the Sydney leadership team.
- Proactively identify risks, gaps, and improvement opportunities.
- Establish trust with Australian stakeholders through responsiveness, accuracy, and commercial judgement.
Working Arrangement
This role will be based in Bangalore, India and will remotely support Knoxx Foods’ Sydney office and Australian operations. We are in the process of setting up office in India. You will work from home untill the office is set up. The successful candidate may be required to travel to Sydney periodically to understand the business, meet key stakeholders, observe operational processes, and strengthen alignment with the Australian team.
