What we need:
Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role will require the candidate to support in financial accounting
tasks and reporting. Shall work closely with finance team and external vendors, and service providers, etc. on multiple matters. This role will be based in Mumbai.
Key responsibilities:
- Preparing and reviewing financial statements under Ind-AS and IFRS
- Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Undertaking month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Filing monthly/quarterly and yearly tax returns and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements (Direct and Indirect tax)
- Facilitating internal audits and statutory audits
- Providing support to Finance Controller and other members of the finance team as needed
- Mentoring the junior accountant
- Actively champion and implement the organization’s policies on health & safety, environment, energy, quality, information security, and business continuity, ensuring adherence to incident reporting, legal, and regulatory requirements.
The successful candidate:
- 4-6 years of Chartered Accountancy Degree
- Must have IND-AS / IFRS reporting exposure
- Worked in finance and accounting department of a mid-sized organization, preferably in real estate or infrastructure companies
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures
- Experience in setting up systems, policies, processes and controls
- Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
