About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead our India finance function. This role requires full ownership of accounting, tax compliance, financial planning, treasury, and internal controls for our India engineering operations, while also serving as the key financial liaison to our China headquarters.
Responsibilities
- Full-Cycle Accounting: Manage general ledger, AR/AP, inventory costing, fixed assets, payroll & social security, monthly closing, and preparation of both India statutory financial statements and Group management reports.
- Tax Compliance & Cross-Border Tax: Oversee end-to-end GST, income tax, and TDS compliance, including filing, planning, and audit defense. Maintain expertise in PRC GAAP, domestic VAT/corporate income tax, cross-border transfer pricing, and double taxation avoidance agreements (DTAAs). Prepare dual-reporting packages for headquarters and Indian tax authorities.
- Budgeting & Analysis: Lead annual budgeting, monthly rolling forecasts, and profitability variance analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Treasury & Forex: Manage cash flow, FEMA compliance, forex risk hedging, and profit repatriation strategies.
- Internal Controls: Design and enhance financial processes, asset management procedures, expense control systems, and loss prevention measures.
- Stakeholder Management: Serve as primary liaison with tax authorities, statutory auditors, banks, customs, and local government agencies.
- Export/Import Tax Rebates: Lead GST refund processes and maintain in-depth knowledge of cross-border VAT/GST rebate policies across India, China, and Thailand.
- Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and evaluate the accounting, tax, and treasury teams, driving performance and professional growth.
- Headquarters Coordination: Prepare consolidated financial reports integrating PRC GAAP and India GAAP/Ind AS, and support cross-border tax planning initiatives.
Qualifications
- Proven full-cycle finance management experience in a foreign-invested or Chinese overseas subsidiary, with hands-on knowledge of FEMA and import/export tax rebates.
- Deep expertise in Indian tax regulations, financial reporting, inventory/cost accounting, and corporate/personal income tax.
- Professional certifications preferred: CA, CMA, or ACCA.
- Language: Fluent in English (written and spoken) – capable of independently engaging with tax authorities, auditors, banks, and headquarters management. English is the working language in India operations.
- Solid understanding of banking policies and procedures for foreign currency receipts and payments.
- ERP proficiency: Hands-on experience with SAP, Tally Prime, or Tally ERP9.
Required Skills

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

- Experience working in a Chinese-invested multinational company.
- Familiarity with PRC GAAP and cross-border consolidation reporting.
- Experience leading GST refund and import/export rebate processes.
- Prior exposure to forex hedging and profit repatriation.
- Proven team management and mentoring experience.
- CA, CMA, or ACCA certification.
