We are looking for a Chartered Accountant who thinks like an operator and future CFO, not just a compliance executor.
You will work directly with founders to:
· Control cash burn
· Build strong unit economics
· Ensure zero compliance risk
· Prepare the company for fundraising and scale
What You Will Own (End-to-End Responsibility)
1. Financial Control & Accounting
· Own complete books of accounts (Zoho Books preferred)
· Monthly closing (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
· Daily cash tracking and burn monitoring
· Cost control and leakage identification
2. Payroll & HR Finance
· End-to-end payroll (salary, incentives, reimbursements)
· PF, ESIC, TDS deductions and filings
· Salary structuring for tax efficiency
· Maintain zero-error payroll system
3. Compliance & Governance
· 100% compliance with:
ROC / MCA filings
GST (GSTR-1, 3B, annual returns)
TDS / Income Tax
· Handle notices, audits, and assessments independently
· Maintain statutory registers and documentation
4. Taxation (Direct + Indirect)
· GST optimization and compliance
· Advance tax planning
· TDS filings and reconciliations
· Reduce tax leakage legally
5. Business Finance & Strategy
· Track unit economics (category-wise profitability: AC, Salon, etc.)
· Build and maintain financial models
· MIS dashboards for founders and investors
· Support fundraising (data room, due diligence)
6. Systems & Process Building
· Build finance SOPs from scratch
· Implement internal controls
· Vendor payment systems & reconciliation
· Prevent fraud, leakages, and inefficiencies
KPIs (Non-Negotiable Performance Metrics)
· Monthly closing by T+5 days
· Zero compliance delays (GST, TDS, ROC)
· Payroll accuracy: 100%
· Real-time visibility on cash runway (weekly)
· Reduction in cost leakages (target-based)
· Accurate MIS reporting every month
What You Will Build (Ownership Opportunity)
· Complete finance stack from 0 → scale

· Investor-ready financial systems

Candidate Profile
· Chartered Accountant (CA) – Mandatory
· 1–4 years' experience (startup experience preferred)
· Strong in GST, TDS, ROC compliance
· Experience in payroll processing
· Hands-on with Zoho / Tally / Excel
· High ownership + execution mindset
Growth Path (Clear & Fast-Track)
· 0–12 months: Finance Manager (core ownership)
· 12–24 months: Finance Lead
· 24+ months: Finance Head / CFO track
