Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Finance Leader role based in Gurugram. The Finance Leader will oversee end-to-end financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, and financial reporting. The role involves setting up and refining financial controls, managing accounting processes, coordinating with external auditors, and ensuring compliance with relevant tax and regulatory requirements. The Finance Leader will partner with leadership to evaluate business performance, support pricing and margin decisions, and build financial models that guide growth, investments, and cost optimization. Day-to-day responsibilities also include monitoring working capital, managing vendor and banking relationships, implementing financial systems and dashboards, and providing clear, data-driven insights for strategic decisions in a fast-growing D2C environment.
Qualifications
- Strong financial planning and analysis skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Experience in accounting operations, financial reporting, and implementation of internal controls.
- Knowledge of taxation, compliance, and regulatory requirements relevant to FMCG or D2C businesses.
- Ability to build and interpret financial models, dashboards, and KPIs to support strategic decision-making.
- Proficiency with finance and accounting software (e.g., ERP tools, advanced Excel, financial analytics platforms).
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing finance teams or cross-functional projects.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to present complex data clearly.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field; professional qualifications such as CA, CMA, or MBA in Finance are preferred.
- Experience in consumer goods, food, retail, or D2C startups is an advantage.
- High level of integrity, ownership, and comfort working in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment.
