Description:
We’re a founder-led group of three companies — a THCA wholesale distributor doing ~$750K/month in revenue, a cannabis supply chain SaaS platform preparing for a Reg A+ IPO, and an India-based services operation.
The finance function currently has no senior owner. We need someone who can take over end-to-end accounting across multiple entities and build the financial infrastructure for a company going public.
This is not a “maintain the books” role. This is a “take messy books, clean them up, and build something investor-ready” role.
What you’ll own:
• Month-end close across 4+ entities — P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, delivered by the 5th of each month
• QuickBooks Online management, bank reconciliation, AP/AR, and inventory system reconciliation
• Tax cleanup — personal and business returns across multiple entities and states (TX, OK, CA, DE)
• Historical book cleanup (2023–2025) to audit-ready standard
• Intercompany accounting and transfer pricing between US and India entities
• Debt schedule management — every liability mapped and tracked monthly
• 13-week rolling cash flow forecast
• Financial modeling and pro forma preparation for Reg A+ offering
• Audit firm selection, workpaper preparation, and process management
• Board-ready reporting and investor-facing financial narratives
What we need:
• CA (India) or CPA (US) — or equivalent demonstrated expertise
• 7+ years in accounting/finance, with 2+ years at Controller level or above
• Multi-entity accounting experience (3+ entities)
• QuickBooks Online proficiency
• US multi-state tax familiarity
• Experience preparing financials for external stakeholders (investors, auditors, board)
• Direct communicator — if the numbers are bad, say so
Strong preferences:
• Cannabis, hemp, or regulated industry experience
• Startup or high-growth company background
• Reg A+, S-1, or capital markets preparation experience
• India-based with US client experience
• Power BI or advanced financial reporting tools
