Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Infor Finance Functional Consultant to join our ERP transformation team and support the implementation, optimization, and governance of Infor LN / Infor CloudSuite ERP finance solutions.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for translating complex business requirements into a scalable and controlled financial architecture, ensuring seamless integration between operational transactions and finance systems. This role will focus on Chart of Accounts (COA) governance, financial data modeling, ERP integrations, project costing, reconciliation, financial reporting, and process optimization.
The consultant will collaborate closely with Finance, IT, Project Management, and business stakeholders to ensure a single source of truth for financial reporting, reconciliation, compliance, and decision-making across a multi-entity and multi-country business environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Architecture & Data Modeling
- Design and govern Chart of Accounts (COA) dimension structures to ensure accurate financial reporting and analysis.
- Ensure correct financial attributes such as:
- Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)
- Asset IDs
- Cost Centers
- Project Dimensions
- are consistently reflected across ledger transactions.
- Design finance taxonomy structures to support:
- Retention Accounting
- Percentage of Completion (POC) Revenue Recognition
- Multi-dimensional reporting
- Maintain a structured financial data model to support enterprise-wide reporting requirements.
2. Integration & Transaction Management
- Design and manage how operational transactions such as:
- Materials
- Labor
- Equipment Costs
- are converted into:
- General Ledger (GL) postings
- Reconciliation entries
- Financial transactions
- Ensure Infor LN integration framework aligns with business requirements.
- Support:
- Cost loading
- Financial forecasting
- Month-end activities
- Management reporting
- Assist Finance teams in:
- Project cash flow reporting
- Earned Value Management (EVM)
3. Mapping & Posting Logic Governance
- Manage:
- Integration document types
- Element groups
- Posting logic
- Mapping schemes
- Define fallback and default accounts to ensure successful transaction posting.
- Support integrations with enterprise applications such as:
- HRMS
- Project Management Systems
- Third-party finance applications
- Align project structures with:
- Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS)
- Financial reporting hierarchies
- Support financial planning and cash flow forecasting activities.
4. Project Costing & Revenue Management
- Configure and manage:
- Project Budgets
- Work Breakdown Structures (WBS)
- Commitment Tracking
- Actual Cost Monitoring
- Support automated revenue recognition using:
- Percentage of Completion (POC)
- Progress Billing
- Ensure accurate project financial tracking and profitability analysis.
5. Project Risk & Change Management
- Ensure alignment between project planning, execution, and financial performance.
- Identify and manage:
- Cost Risks
- Schedule Risks
- Change Requests
- Financial Impact Assessments
- Support:
- Delay Analysis
- Extension of Time (EOT)
- Time Impact Analysis (TIA)
- Re-baselining activities
6. Reconciliation & Error Management
- Manage non-editable integration accounts and ensure reconciliation issues are resolved through the ERP integration framework.
- Establish and maintain master data standards.
- Prevent:
- Failed postings
- Tax inconsistencies
- Mapping errors
- Ensure month-end reconciliation accuracy.
7. Functional Testing & UAT
- Conduct end-to-end functional testing for financial transaction flows.
- Validate accounting postings across scenarios such as:
- Goods Receipt → Accrual
- Tax Posting
- Cost Allocation
- Revenue Recognition
- Support:
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Go-live stabilization
- Post-implementation support
8. Reporting & Analytics
- Support development of:
- Weekly and Monthly Progress Reports
- KPI Dashboards
- Schedule Variance Reports
- Financial Analytics Reports
- Utilize reporting platforms such as Power BI for dashboarding and insights.
- Present findings and financial insights to stakeholders and leadership teams.
