Job Title: Finance Business Partner - Logistics
Department: Finance
Reports To: CFO- Logistics
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Finance Business Partner to join our dynamic team. In this
critical role, you will be a key strategic partner to the business team, providing financial insights, driving key
business decisions, and supporting the achievement of ambitious growth targets.
Responsibilities:
● Business Partnering:
○ Build strong and collaborative relationships with multiple teams and leaders (e.g. Business
teams, external stakeholders, marketing, supply, warehouse, etc) to understand business
priorities and challenges.
○ Proactively identify and analyze key business drivers and trends impacting Logistics
performance.
○ Translate business objectives into financial targets and track progress towards achieving them.
○ Provide insightful and actionable financial analysis to support decision-making across all
aspects of the external marketplace business.
● Financial Planning & Analysis:
○ Develop and maintain accurate and timely financial forecasts and budgets for the vertical.
○ Conduct in-depth financial analysis on key performance indicators (KPIs).
○ Analyze the various activites across logistics and provide solutions for the overall growth of the
company.
○ Prepare insightful presentations and reports to communicate financial performance and
insights.
● Strategic Initiatives:
○ Support the development and evaluation of new initiatives and strategies including
development of business models for such initiatives.
○ Conduct financial feasibility studies and business case analyses for new product launches,
marketing campaigns, and pricing strategies.
○ Identify and quantify potential risks and opportunities within the business.
● Accounting & Control:
○ Responsible for the month-end close process for the business, including revenue recognition,
expense analysis, and reconciliations.
○ Responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the vertical’s balance sheet.
○ Ensure compliance with accounting policies and internal controls.
○ Monitor and analyze key financial metrics to identify and address any potential issues or
discrepancies.
● Process Improvement:
○ Continuously identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and
accuracy of financial reporting and analysis.
○ Develop and maintain robust financial models and reporting dashboards.
○ Automate routine tasks to free up time for strategic analysis.
Requirements
Qualifications:
● MBA in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field or a Chartered Accountant.
● ~3-5 years of overall experience in financial analysis, with a strong preference for experience within the
logistics industry.
● Good accounting skills are a great plus.
● Has an eye for detail and understand the challenges of exploring new business opportunities
● Proven experience in building and maintaining strong relationships with business partners.
● Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
● Advanced proficiency in Excel, including data analysis and modeling techniques.
● Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
● Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex
financial information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
