About The Role
We are seeking a seasoned Senior Business Analyst with extensive expertise in accounting and finance to join our team supporting a critical Core Banking Transformation program. This role will work closely with the CFO Office and Finance teams to ensure seamless integration of financial processes within the upgraded banking system. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of banking finance operations, particularly in General Ledger, financial accounting, reconciliation, and reporting. Acting as a bridge between Finance, Technology, and the Core Banking implementation teams, you will be responsible for capturing, documenting, and translating business requirements into functional specifications that facilitate successful system upgrades.
Qualifications
- Over 10 years of experience as a Business Analyst within banking or financial services sectors.
- Strong knowledge of banking finance and accounting processes, including General Ledger, financial postings, reconciliation, and chart of accounts.
- Proven experience working on CFO office or finance transformation programs.
- Hands-on experience with core banking transformation or upgrade initiatives.
- Expertise in creating Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs), and process documentation.
- Experience supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and validating financial outputs.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills and ability to facilitate workshops effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the CFO office, Finance Controllers, and Accounting teams to gather and document detailed business requirements related to General Ledger and financial accounting processes.
- Analyze the impact of the core banking upgrade on finance workflows, including GL postings, accounting entries, reconciliation processes, and financial reporting.
- Define and document functional requirements, process flows, and BRDs to ensure clarity and alignment with business needs.
- Ensure accurate mapping of accounting entries from core banking modules to the General Ledger, maintaining data integrity and compliance.
- Work closely with technology teams and core banking vendors to translate finance requirements into system configurations, ensuring seamless integration.
- Support finance teams during User Acceptance Testing, validating accounting outputs, and ensuring they meet business expectations.
- Assist in aligning the chart of accounts, accounting rules, and posting logic within the new system environment.
- Identify gaps in financial controls, reconciliation procedures, and reporting mechanisms during the transformation process.
- Ensure adherence to banking accounting standards and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Facilitate workshops and meetings between Finance, Technology, and implementation partners to ensure clear communication and project alignment.
