Requirements
Responsibilities
- Perform daily accounting, bookkeeping, and reporting in accordance with current GAPP standards (US GAAP, IndAS, or IFRS)
- Ensure accurate regulatory reports are provided to the relevant authorities, with a focus on NFA compliance
- Gain an understanding of the company's operations and settlement processes; assist the trade operations & settlement team through regular reconciliations and attestation procedures on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
- Demonstrated experience in establishing processes, policies, procedures, and control frameworks
- Practical knowledge of working in an ERP environment (such as NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, etc.)
- Strong understanding of financial products and applicable accounting standards
- Experience in preparing financial statements and related disclosures for broker-dealer operations
Success
- As an Associate/Senior Associate - Finance, you will assist the team in developing in-house accounting and reporting capabilities, optimizing and integrating finance and accounting processes to provide real-time and accurate financial information to stakeholders
- Oversee legal entities regarding their financial closing processes and audits
- Work closely with Trading, Trade-Ops Teams, and external consultants to secure favorable financial outcomes for the organization
- As the organization experiences growth, you will be flexible in undertaking multiple functions, such as Accounting, Treasury, Settlements, Reporting, etc
- Over time, acquire subject matter expertise from an accounting, reporting, and regulatory perspective concerning the firm's operational environment
- Possess the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently, work well under pressure, prioritize responsibilities, and manage workloads to meet internal demands
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting along with a professional accounting qualification (preferably Chartered Accountant/CPA)
- A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in a similar industry (Banking, Broker-Dealer, etc.)
- Experience in regulatory reporting is advantageous
Experience in Capital and Liquidity Reporting in a Bank
- Advanced knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP reporting standards and their application
- Practical experience working in an ERP-driven environment (such as NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, etc.)
- An understanding of end-to-end trade flow and its related dynamics (settlement, market-making, etc.)
- Proficient in MS Excel for financial analysis is essential
- Proactive, self-motivated, detail-oriented, with exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, along with strong verbal and written communication abilities
- A commitment to continuous learning and willingness to operate across various functions
- A keen interest in Fintech, blockchain, and digital assets
