Role Summary
We are looking for a highly driven Financial Analyst who can take ownership of GST compliance, purchase accounting, and expense management while contributing to financial analysis, controls, and reporting. This role requires both strong execution capability and analytical thinking.
Core Responsibilities
1. GST Compliance & Tax Execution
- Prepare GST workings (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B support)
- Reconcile purchase register with GSTR-2A/2B
- Track and validate Input Tax Credit (ITC)
- Identify mismatches and proactively coordinate for resolution
- Maintain GST documentation and compliance tracker
- Support during GST audits and assessments
2. Purchase & Vendor Accounting (Execution Heavy)
- Verify, validate, and record purchase invoices accurately
- Perform vendor ledger reconciliations
- Monitor payable ageing and highlight risk exposures
- Ensure PO vs Invoice vs GRN alignment (where applicable)
- Support vendor payment planning and cash flow visibility
- Identify duplicate or incorrect entries
3. Expense Management & Cost Control
- Scrutinize employee expense claims and supporting documents
- Record and categorize expenses correctly
- Track budget vs actuals and flag variances
- Identify cost leakages and inefficiencies
- Support expense policy compliance enforcement
Analytical & Control Responsibilities
- Assist in monthly financial closing process
- Prepare MIS reports (expense trends, vendor analysis, GST impact)
- Conduct variance analysis and provide insights
- Support working capital tracking (payables & expense cycles)
- Assist in financial data structuring for management review
- Build and maintain Excel-based trackers and dashboards
Required Skills
- Strong accounting fundamentals
- Working knowledge of GST framework
- Advanced MS Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, basic formulas)
- Strong numerical and analytical mindset
- High attention to detail with ownership attitude
- Ability to identify discrepancies and take corrective action
