Position: Business Account Manager

Location: Remote (Utah and Southern California)

Duration: Full-Time, Permanent

Salary: $55k base salary + variable compensation equal to 1% of collected sales


Filterbuy, a leader in the air quality and manufacturing world, is seeking a Business Account Manager to manage relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met, and driving the growth of business opportunities. This role typically involves overseeing a portfolio of clients, identifying new business prospects, and developing strategies to maintain and expand relationships.


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


Business Development

  • Responsible for developing and maintaining business account relationships, serving as the primary point of contact to grandfathered, existing accounts.
  • Regular proactive outreach to business customers via phone or email efforts
  • Ownership of necessary follow up communications

Communication 

  • Monitor slack, email and phone for client outreach. (see “General Responsibilities” below for sample inquiries) 
  • Responsible for responding to incoming inquiries pertaining to customer needs in a timely and professional manner
  • Responsible for maintaining a level of business, system, process and procedure knowledge to communicate consistently and cohesively

General Responsibilities 

  • User dashboard log in assistance and navigation
  • Review order status and providing updates on estimated shipping dates
  • Maintaining a working knowledge of lead time expectations via regular and direct plant communication
  • Use available resources to provide accurate estimated ship date
  • Provide Shipping/Tracking information
  • Use resources available both internal and external to review tracking data
  • Provide Fedex proof of delivery
  • Maintain a working knowledge of how to navigate and understand Fedex shipping status updates and proof of delivery documentation
  • Account maintenance and updates including:
  • Changes to tax exempt status
  • 30 day term eligibility, approval and status updates
  • Update account contact information
  • Manage payment methods
  • Customer subscription maintenance
  • Answer basic billing questions Locating and providing receipts/invoices
  • Provide invoices/receipts
  • Liaison between clients and Accounts Receivable team when necessary
  • Record keeping 
  • Vendor forms
  • Tax Exempt Documentation
  • Reseller certificates
  • Credit applications
  • Generate quotes/Place Orders
  • Review and process Purchase Orders
  • Order Cancellations
  • Special Shipping Instructions
  • Returns/replacements/refunds
  • General troubleshooting and problem resolution
  • Manage Incoming communications to general email/chat/department phone
  • Route inquiries to appropriate Sales or BAM representative 
  • Qualify and assign incoming leads

Internal Relationship Building

  • Develop and maintain internal relationships with various departments/business partners to include:
  • Direct management/supervisory team
  • Business Team Colleagues
  • Accounts Receivable and Upper Management/Chief Financial Officer 
  • Residential Customer Experience and C.E. Management Team
  • Business Marketing Lead 
  • Plant Supervisory team and other key personnel at all plants/distribution centers
  • IT/ Development Team

External Partner Relationship Building

  • Develop and maintain a working relationship with Fedex Partnership while upholding company standards and adhering to company policies/procedures
  • Access and use the Fedex Portal to communicate needs
  • Package Research
  • Delivery disputes/issues
  • Missing packages
  • Create and manage pick up requests
  • Shipping changes
  • Return to sender
  • Address corrections
  • Re-Route packages
  • Fedex delivery holds
  • Special instructions
  • File Loss Claims

Daily/Weekly Tasks

  • Update the wholesale production queue data daily for Business team (generally assigned to one party)
  • Update Pipedrive with all deals both open and closed
  • Maintain adequate records in Pipedrive adhering to the data integrity requirements and expectations
  • Monitor plant channels to for tracking data where necessary
  • Attend Weekly meetings where requested (subject to change)
  • Periodic One on One meetings
  • Periodic BAM departmental meetings
  • Weekly Sales Meeting
