Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with directors, producers, and stakeholders to understand project objectives, creative vision, and technical requirements for film projects, including corporate films, brand films, advertising films, micro-series, and social media content.
- Review raw footage and select the best shots to create cohesive, engaging narratives that align with the project vision, platform format, and client objectives.
- Edit film and digital content using industry-standard software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Avid Media Composer), applying creative techniques such as cutting, trimming, sequencing, pacing, and platform-specific optimization to enhance storytelling and visual impact.
- Edit short-form and episodic content, including micro-series and social media reels, with strong understanding of hook retention, pacing, and audience engagement patterns.
- Incorporate visual effects, transitions, motion graphics, sound design, and platform-native elements to elevate production value across long-form and short-form formats.
- Collaborate during post-production by providing creative input and suggestions to enhance narrative clarity, emotional impact, and brand storytelling.
- Adapt edits across multiple aspect ratios (16:9, 1:1, 9:16) and optimize content for different digital platforms.
- Manage timelines, deadlines, and deliverables across multiple projects, ensuring efficiency within budget and production schedules.
- Communicate regularly with the production team and clients to share progress updates, incorporate feedback, and maintain alignment with creative goals.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging editing techniques, and evolving digital content formats to continuously improve creative output.
- Maintain organized file management systems, including version control, project assets, archives, and documentation.
Requirements:
- 2–3 years of experience in film editing.
- Proven experience as a film or video editor with a strong portfolio showcasing corporate films, brand films, advertising films, micro-series, and social media content.
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or Avid Media Composer, with strong command of editing workflows and storytelling techniques.
- Strong narrative instincts with the ability to craft emotionally engaging long-form and high-retention short-form content.
- Excellent attention to detail in shot selection, pacing, transitions, sound design, and visual continuity.
- Ability to collaborate effectively, communicate clearly, and incorporate feedback constructively.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced production environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Film Production, Media Studies, or related field preferred.
- Solid understanding of post-production terminology, workflows, and digital content optimization.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Adobe After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, or similar VFX tools.
- Knowledge of color grading and correction workflows.
- Familiarity with sound design principles and audio editing software.
- Experience working in a creative agency, production house, or digital content studio.
