Job Summary
The Field Technician will be responsible for providing on-site installation, inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair services for Electric Vehicles (EVs). The role involves visiting customer locations, service centers, or dealer outlets to ensure vehicles are operating efficiently while delivering high-quality technical support and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform on-site inspection, servicing, maintenance, and repair of Electric Vehicles.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults using appropriate tools and equipment.
- Install, replace, and test EV components such as batteries, controllers, motors, and wiring systems.
- Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure optimal vehicle performance and reliability.
- Respond promptly to customer service requests and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Maintain accurate service reports, inspection records, and job documentation.
- Follow company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines during field operations.
- Coordinate with the technical support team to escalate complex technical issues when required.
- Educate customers on basic EV operation, maintenance, and safety practices.
- Ensure proper handling and maintenance of tools, spare parts, and service equipment.
Qualifications & Skills
- ITI/Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Automobile, or a related field.
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in field service, maintenance, or repair, preferably in the EV or automotive industry.
- Basic knowledge of EV systems, electrical circuits, batteries, and mechanical components.
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues independently.
- Familiarity with electrical testing equipment, diagnostic tools, and hand tools.
- Good communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Willingness to travel within the assigned service area.
- Valid two-wheeler driving license is preferred.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Working Conditions:
· Field Based.
· Shift-based working hours.
· Physical stamina to work on assembly lines and handle tools/equipment
