About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on fi eld technical lead to head the installation and execution
team for an industrial IoT deployment partner in Pune. You will be the technical
backbone on the ground — directing electrical contractors, confi guring gateways, talking
to plant engineers, and making sure every site deployment runs cleanly from start to
fi
nish.
This is a fl oor-fi rst role. You will spend most of your time on industrial sites, not at a
desk.
What You Will Do
●Direct electrical contractors on correct energy meter installation, CT wiring, and
RS485 cabling
●Use protocol converters for 4-20mA and serial signals — converters and training
provided
●Use BACnet and OPC-UA discovery tools to identify and verify devices on client
networks
●Handle basic networking on site — IP confi guration, LAN setup, ping tests,
connectivity checks
●Talk to plant engineers and IT teams to understand the client's system before
installation begins
●Confi gure gateways and devices using our confi guration tool — full training
provided
What We Are Looking For
●2–4 years of hands-on experience in industrial instrumentation, building
automation, electrical contracting, or IT networking
● Comfortable working inside factories, plants, and electrical panels
● Basic understanding of industrial protocols — RS485, Modbus, 4-20mA — even if
not deeply experienced
● Familiar with basic networking concepts — IP addresses, LAN, ping
● Can have a technical conversation with a plant engineer or IT person without
being lost
● Common sense problem solver — checks the obvious things first, does not give
up easily
● Willing to learn new tools — learning BACnet discovery tools, OPC-UA browsers,
and our configuration software is similar to learning any new workplace
software. If you have been on industrial sites, you already speak the language.
The tools are just buttons.
What You Do Not Need to Know
For complex integrations — SCADA systems, advanced protocol issues, Grade 2
network integrations — our engineering team provides direct field support. You will
never be left alone on a problem that is beyond your scope. The expectation is that you
know your ceiling and escalate smartly, not that you know everything.
