Role Description The Field Services Engineer role at SAAI TECH is a full-time, on-site position based in Belgaum. The Field Services Engineer will install, commission, and service rotary screw compressors, piston compressors, air dryers, filters, and related utility piping systems at customer locations. Daily responsibilities include diagnosing equipment issues, performing corrective and preventive maintenance, and providing technical support and guidance to customers. The role also involves conducting basic air audits, documenting service activities, preparing reports, and coordinating with the internal team to ensure timely resolution of service requests. The Field Services Engineer is expected to maintain strong customer relationships through responsive communication and professional on-site service.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Field Service skills, including on-site equipment installation, commissioning, and service for compressors and related systems.
- Candidates should possess Troubleshooting and Technical Support skills to diagnose mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues and implement effective solutions.
- Candidates should possess Preventive Maintenance skills to perform scheduled inspections, routine servicing, and performance checks on equipment.
- Candidates should possess Customer Service skills to interact professionally with clients, explain technical issues clearly, and manage expectations.
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (or a related technical field).
- Working knowledge of industrial compressors, air dryers, filters, and utility piping is preferred.
- Ability to read technical drawings, manuals, and schematics, and use diagnostic tools and measuring instruments.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and willingness to work in industrial environments and travel to customer sites.
- Basic computer skills for documentation, reporting, and communication; familiarity with safety standards and safe work practices.
