Field Service Engineer / Field Technician – Airtel DTH & Broadband Wi-Fi

Job Summary:
We are seeking skilled and customer-focused Field Service Engineers to handle installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and service support for Airtel DTH and Airtel Xstream Fiber/Wi-Fi connections. The role involves visiting customer locations, resolving technical issues, ensuring service quality, and delivering excellent customer support within assigned timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Install and configure Airtel DTH set-top boxes, dish antennas, routers, and broadband/Wi-Fi connections.
Diagnose and resolve network, signal, connectivity, and hardware-related issues.
Attend customer service requests and close complaints within TAT.
Perform preventive maintenance and service quality checks.
Ensure proper cable routing, device setup, and testing during installation.
Educate customers on basic usage, troubleshooting, and service features.
Coordinate with backend support and technical teams for issue resolution.
Maintain daily service reports, installation records, and stock/material tracking.
Follow safety standards and company service procedures during field visits.
Support customer retention through quick and effective service resolution.
Required Skills:
Knowledge of DTH installation, broadband networking, and Wi-Fi troubleshooting.
Understanding of routers, ONT devices, signal testing, and cable management.
Basic networking knowledge (LAN/WAN/IP configuration).
Strong problem-solving and customer-handling skills.
Ability to work independently in field operations.
Time management and service coordination skills.
Eligibility:
ITI / Diploma / PUC / Any Technical Qualification preferred.
Freshers and experienced candidates can apply.
Experience in telecom, broadband, cable TV, or networking support is an advantage.
Two-wheeler and valid driving license preferred.
