Role Description
The Field Quality Engineer will be responsible for conducting field testing, site inspections, and quality control activities related to construction materials and geotechnical investigations. The candidate will coordinate with site engineers, contractors, and laboratory teams to ensure compliance with project specifications, IS standards, and quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct field testing for soil, concrete, aggregates, asphalt, and other construction materials
• Perform site inspections and quality checks during ongoing construction activities
• Prepare field reports, test records, and documentation
• Ensure sampling and testing procedures comply with IS standards and project requirements
• Coordinate with laboratory staff for sample testing and reporting
• Monitor site practices related to compaction, concreting, and material handling
• Assist in geotechnical investigations and surveying activities when required
Qualifications & Requirements
• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering
• 1–3 years of experience in construction material testing or QA/QC field work
• Knowledge of IS codes and construction quality standards
• Familiarity with concrete, soil, aggregate, and asphalt testing procedures
• Good communication and reporting skills
• Willingness to travel to project sites and conduct field activities
• Basic knowledge of MS Excel and reporting documentation
