Company Description Crossbar Labs collects first-person video data to power AI and robotics systems operating in physical environments. This data helps robotic systems learn how humans use tools and perform complex manual tasks. Crossbar Labs manages the full lifecycle of data collection, from worker sourcing and camera deployment to quality assurance and optional data annotation. Role Description The Field Operations Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in the Pune/Pimpri-Chinchwad Area. This role is responsible for coordinating and executing daily field operations, including deploying and maintaining camera equipment, onboarding and supporting partner workers, and ensuring data collection follows established protocols. The specialist will visit client and partner locations, monitor live data capture sessions, troubleshoot technical issues in the field, and escalate problems when necessary. They will track operational metrics and collaborate with the central team to improve workflows, safety practices, and data quality. The role also involves clear communication with workers, internal stakeholders, and occasionally clients to align expectations and schedules.
Qualifications:
Strong field operations and operations management skills to coordinate deployments, manage schedules, and keep on-site activity running smoothly.
Solid analytical skills to monitor performance, read operational data, and spot process improvements.
Clear, respectful communication with workers, internal teams, and external partners.
Practical troubleshooting instincts to diagnose and resolve equipment or workflow issues in real world settings.
Relevant experience in field operations, logistics, or on-the-ground project execution, ideally in technology, manufacturing, or data collection.
Comfort with basic hardware setups, mobile apps, and digital documentation tools; familiarity with camera or AV equipment is a plus.
Access to your own two wheeler is essential, since the role involves reaching factories and shoot locations across the Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad area independently and on time.
