Role Description
We are looking for a hands-on and driven Field Network Engineer Intern to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for on-site network deployment, troubleshooting, and coordination with Internet Service Providers (ISPs). You will work directly with physical infrastructure, gaining real-world exposure to network rollouts and field operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with ISPs for internet provisioning, troubleshooting, and escalation handling.
- Perform on-site installation, configuration, and maintenance of networking equipment (routers, switches, access points).
- Deploy and manage networks based on OpenWrt firmware.
- Diagnose and resolve network issues including connectivity, latency, and packet loss.
- Monitor network performance and ensure optimal uptime.
- Maintain proper documentation of deployments, configurations, and issues.
- Provide technical support and basic training to internal teams or clients when required.
Core Requirements
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing, switching, subnetting, NAT).
- Hands-on experience with OpenWrt or similar embedded Linux-based networking systems.
- Familiarity with Linux systems and command-line tools.
- Experience configuring routers, access points, and firewall rules.
- Ability to troubleshoot network issues in real-world field environments.
- Willingness to travel and work on-site in deployment locations.
Nice to Have (Optional)
- Knowledge of network monitoring tools and logging systems.
- Understanding of wireless networking concepts (RSSI, SNR, channel planning).
- Basic scripting skills (Bash, Python) for automation.
- Certifications such as CCNA or equivalent.
Qualifications
- Students or recent graduates in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, or related fields.
- Strong interest in networking, infrastructure, and field operations.
- Good communication skills for coordinating with ISPs and clients.
- Ability to work independently in dynamic, on-site environments.
