Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Field Engineer role based in Punjab, India. The Field Engineer will install, commission, and maintain telecom power systems, hybrid solar solutions, Wi-Fi hotspots, and related infrastructure at customer and project sites. Responsibilities include conducting site surveys, performing technical troubleshooting, ensuring proper configuration and testing of equipment, and documenting all activities as per company standards. The role involves coordination with project managers and cross-functional teams, providing technical support to clients, and ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements. The Field Engineer will also participate in preventive maintenance, upgrades, and occasional training or guidance for local teams and partners.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong technical skills in telecom power systems, hybrid solar solutions, and basic networking concepts.
- Candidates should possess practical skills in field installation, commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical and electronic equipment.
- Candidates should possess familiarity with tools, safety practices, and standards related to telecom infrastructure, fibre laying, and rural connectivity projects.
- Candidates should possess effective communication, documentation, and customer service skills for on-site interactions and reporting.
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications, or a related engineering field is preferred.
- Relevant field experience in telecom or solar power projects, especially in rural or semi-urban areas, will be an advantage.
- Ability to travel frequently within Punjab and nearby regions and work in diverse on-site conditions.
- Comfort with using diagnostic tools, basic software applications, and mobile-based reporting systems.
