About the Company
Chogori is committed to fostering a culture of quality and excellence in the manufacturing industry, particularly in the automotive parts sector. Our mission is to ensure the highest standards of quality in our products and processes, while promoting a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and technically proficient FAE Engineer to serve as the primary technical bridge between our customers in Japan, Korea, and Southeast Asia and our headquarters in China. This role provides end-to-end technical engagement across the entire project lifecycle – from pre-sales opportunity identification, through project execution and sample validation, to after-sales support and product iteration. The ideal candidate will be responsible for translating customer needs into actionable technical inputs, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive solution alignment, and gathering market intelligence to support technical enablement. This is an India-based role with frequent business travel across the required region.
Responsibilities
- Pre-sales Technical Support
- Travel to customer sites across Japan, Korea, and Southeast Asia to engage with customers on-site, understand technical requirements, and lead mature solution selection.
- Support sales teams during early business opportunity phases, assessing technical capability alignment and solution fit.
- Identify and diagnose customers' real application pain points, and validate the feasibility and completeness of their technical requirements.
- Lead technical exchanges with customers and support participation in regional exhibitions, forums, and other sales-related technical events.
- Project Customer Technical Representative
- Gather and organize project technical requirements, and support the sales team in project initiation.
- Absorb, interpret, and validate technical solutions from architecture/R&D teams, and lead technical solution communication with customers.
- Collect feedback on sample assembly and testing at customer sites (including front-line assembly operations).
- Verify and approve technical documentation and product specifications from the APQP team to ensure alignment with customer requirements.
- Identify and mitigate technical quality risks prior to mass production, preventing major design and quality issues.
- After-sales Technical Support
- Address after-sales quality and technical issues, provide solution support, and collect/validate field application problems.
- Gather after-sales technical feedback and drive product iteration and upgrades.
- Deliver training to customers and end-users on connector and cable assembly application requirements.
- Technical Enablement
- Collect and analyze competitive technical intelligence at customer sites across the region.
- Monitor customers' system technology trends and translate them into connector and cable assembly technical requirements.
- Build and strengthen relationships with customer technical teams, developing technical supporters and coaches within client organizations.
- Provide internal teams with application knowledge materials, case studies, and training on customer communication and technical presentation skills.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or above in Engineering or Science disciplines (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics/Control Systems, Industrial Engineering, or related fields preferred). R&D experience in connectors and cable assemblies is a plus. Fresh graduates with an Engineering or Science background are also welcome; systematic training will be provided upon onboarding. Customer-focused mindset, with the ability to respond quickly to customer feedback and a strong commitment to delivering customer value.
Required Skills
- Strong technical problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose issues on-site and provide timely solutions.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across cross-functional and cross-cultural teams.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel frequently to Japan, Korea, and Southeast Asian countries.
Preferred Skills
- Direct experience in a customer-facing FAE, application engineering, or technical support role.
- Prior experience working in a Chinese-invested multinational company or cross-border technical collaboration environment.
- Experience with new product introduction (NPI) and design for manufacturability (DFM) reviews.
Pay range and compensation package
Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications.
