Role Overview: We are looking for a highly motivated, hands-on engineer who wants to get in on the ground level and build something exceptional. As a Field Applications Engineer on our Edge AI team, you will act as the crucial technical bridge between our customers and our technology.
This role is highly dynamic. You won't be confined to a single technical lane; instead, you will have the opportunity to explore and contribute across multiple domains - including embedded applications, hardware integration, and software development. Responsibilities:
● Customer Success & Support: Act as the primary technical partner for our customers, supporting their integration of Ambient’s AI processors and modules.
● Cross-Domain Exploration: Flex your skills across embedded applications, hardware, and software. You will have the freedom to dive into the areas where you can add the most value and drive the most impact. ● AI-Accelerated Development: We believe in working smart and leveraging the best tools available. You should have strong skills in prompt engineering and hands-on experience using IDE-based AI agents (like Cursor or VS Code extensions) to accelerate workflows, write and optimize code, and streamline quality assurance.
● Software & Ecosystem Optimization: Take hands-on ownership of the developer experience. The foundation is laid, but you will jump in to optimize our software environment where needed, modernize technical documentation, and ensure our tools are intuitive and accessible for our users.
● Cross-Functional Execution: Partner across teams to meet tight deadlines, support technical marketing initiatives, and travel as needed to build the strong, collaborative relationships that drive our business
Who You Are (Qualifications & Experience):
● Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics & Communication, Artificial Intelligence, or a related hands-on computing field.
● Core Experience: 3-5 years of hands-on experience working across software, hardware, or embedded systems.
● Hardware & Edge AI Chops: You have a solid understanding of edge AI and general AI concepts, paired with hands-on experience building projects on platforms like Raspberry Pi, Arduino, ESP, or similar development boards.
● Multitasking: You are self-motivated, organized, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously without dropping the ball.
