Java Developer

We are currently sourcing a Senior Oracle/Java Developer to support Fidelity Capital Markets. This role is available in Merrimack, NH; Westlake, TX; or Durham, NC. You will be a key member of the Business Intelligence team, contributing to the development of critical backend systems that support client onboarding, trade analysis, financial reporting, and more. This is a hybrid position under Fidelity's "Dynamic Working" model, combining both on-site and remote work. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain backend applications for business intelligence tools. Collaborate closely with product owners, end-users, and cross-functional technology teams. Contribute to application performance, scalability, and reliability improvements. Provide technical solutions using Java, Oracle, SQL, and other backend technologies. Analyze and improve existing systems and workflows for operational efficiency. Apply knowledge of financial markets and trade operations in application development. Work in a Scrum Agile environment, participating in sprint planning, reviews, and daily standups. Support compliance and supervisory reporting through robust and secure system design. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems. 1+ years of experience in software engineering or application development. Oracle certification. Expertise in Oracle, SQL, PL/SQL, Java, and Linux. Proficiency in ETL, data modeling, performance tuning, and recoverability. Experience with Python for scripting and backend functionality improvements. Solid skills in Unix Shell Scripting. Familiarity with development tools like Jira, Git, Jenkins, and uDeploy. Knowledge of institutional and capital markets products such as prime brokerage, fixed income, and equities. Experience with trade operations, P&L analysis, CRM systems, and compliance reporting. Ability to adapt to new technologies and business needs quickly.
