<strong>Role Overview</strong><br>Fidelia Counseling Services is seeking a professional, highly organized <strong>Independent Contractor</strong> to manage our intake and referral operations. You will be the primary point of contact for families and providers, ensuring every referral is handled with efficiency and empathy. This role requires a deep understanding of the Massachusetts behavioral health landscape and a commitment to maintaining a professional virtual and community presence.</div><div>Key Responsibilities (but not limited to)</div><ul>
<li>
<strong>Structured Referral Entry:</strong> Manage the intake lifecycle by completing an <strong>online referral facesheet</strong> for every new lead prior to entering data into the <strong>Electronic Health Record (EHR)</strong>.</li>
<li>
<strong>Waitlist Advocacy:</strong> Proactively manage the agency waitlist through bi-weekly outreach. You must be able to <strong>calmly de-escalate or diffuse issues</strong> with families who may be frustrated by wait times, ensuring they always feel respected and heard.</li>
<li>
<strong>Clinical & Ops Collaboration:</strong> <strong>Answer directly to Management</strong> (Operations) to facilitate smooth provider matching and insurance authorizations.</li>
<li>
<strong>Technical Documentation:</strong> Utilize <strong>Microsoft Word, Excel, and Spreadsheets</strong> to verify clients' insurance, maintain accurate, organized, and HIPAA-compliant digital files.</li>
<li>
<strong>Knowledge Base:</strong> Apply your knowledge of <strong>CBHI, CBHC, and insurance verification</strong> to ensure referrals are processed correctly and families are eligible for services.</li>
</ul><div>Requirements & Qualifications</div><ul>
<li>
<strong>Professionalism & Values:</strong> Must follow a <strong>professional dress code</strong> and demonstrate high efficiency. You must be <strong>respectful and empathetic</strong> to our clients' requests, aligning with our values and culturally sensitive values.</li>
<li>
<strong>Technical Skills:</strong> Mastery of <strong>Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Spreadsheets)</strong> and prior experience with <strong>EHR/EMR software</strong>.</li>
<li>
<strong>Language Skills:</strong> English, bilingual (<strong> Spanish or Portuguese is preferred)</strong>
</li>
<li>
<strong>Education & Experience:</strong> Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field (preferred). 1-2 years of experience in behavioral health administration.</li>
<li>
<strong>Eligibility:</strong> Must be authorized to work in the U.S</li>
