We are seeking a skilled FRP Technician with 3-5 years of hands-on experience in manufacturing Fibreglass boats, An FRP Technician is responsible for manufacturing, repairing, and finishing fiberglass components used in boats. This includes working with molds, resins, and reinforcement materials to produce strong, lightweight marine structures.
🔧 Key Responsibilities :
1) Mold Preparation & Lamination:
Prepare molds, apply gelcoat, and perform fiberglass lamination using resins and reinforcement materials (hand lay-up, spray-up, or vacuum bagging).
2) Fabrication & Assembly:
Manufacture and assemble boat components such as hulls, decks, and panels using FRP techniques and adhesives.
3) Finishing & Repair Work:
Trim, sand, polish, and repair fiberglass parts to ensure smooth finish and structural integrity.
4) Material Handling & Process Knowledge:
Work with fiberglass materials, resins (polyester/epoxy), and tools like rollers, spray guns, and grinders.
5) Quality Control:
Inspect products for defects, ensure proper curing, thickness, and adherence to marine quality standards.
6) Safety & Work Environment:
Follow safety procedures, use PPE, and maintain cleanliness while working in a boatyard/manufacturing setting.
