Fibertek is seeking a skilled technician to maintain a wide variety of automative systems consisting of high value wheeled and tracked vehicles.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Inspect, service, maintain, repair, replace, adjust, and test wheeled and track vehicles, trailers, and material handling equipment.
- Perform maintenance on automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, power trains, hydraulic systems, fuel systems, chassis, suspension, steering, brakes, and electrical systems.
- Identify and resolve mechanical and electrical faults; conduct preventive maintenance checks and services.
- Assist in or lead vehicle recovery missions in field environments.
- provide technical guidance to lower-grade personnel.
- Maintain equipment logs, prepare maintenance records, and ensure compliance with Army maintenance discipline and safety standards.
- Manage and account for high-value vehicles and equipment, ensuring readiness for mission requirements.
- Possible TDY travel.
- Support range training/testing.
- Other duties as assigned.
Experience & Expertise Required:
- 2-5 years hands on experience and relevant experience. ASE certification is a plus.
- CDL with Hazmat.
- Strong knowledge of automotive and industrial systems.
- Proficiency in engine repair, electrical troubleshooting, hydraulic systems, and preventive maintenance.
- Ability to work in challenging conditions, often outdoors or in confined spaces
- Nationally recognized automotive or industrial certifications (e.g., ASE, OSHA) are a plus.
- Strong knowledge of automotive and industrial systems.
- Proficiency in engine repair, electrical troubleshooting, hydraulic systems, and preventive maintenance.
- Ability to work in challenging conditions, often outdoors, confined spaces, shops and garages.
- Operates in training and field settings.
- Involves hands-on, physical labor and adherence to strict safety and security protocols.
- Keep and maintain a clean and safe shop environment.
