Role Description The Fetal Medicine Consultant will provide comprehensive prenatal and fetal medicine services, including detailed ultrasound examinations, fetal anomaly scans, and diagnostic procedures for high-risk pregnancies. This full-time, on-site role in Bengaluru involves collaborating closely with obstetricians, gynecologists, and other healthcare professionals to design and implement individualized care plans. The consultant will conduct patient consultations, explain diagnostic findings, counsel families on management options, and participate in multidisciplinary case discussions. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate clinical documentation, adhering to evidence-based protocols, contributing to quality improvement initiatives, and supporting patient education and outreach activities. The role also involves mentoring junior clinicians and staff to ensure consistent, high-quality care.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Medicine with specialized training in Fetal Medicine or Maternal-Fetal Medicine.
- Demonstrated ability in Working with Physicians through multidisciplinary collaboration and coordinated care
- Recognized medical degree (MBBS) with postgraduate qualification in Obstetrics & Gynecology (MD/MS/DNB) and formal fellowship or certification in Fetal Medicine.
- Proficiency in advanced obstetric ultrasound, fetal anomaly detection, and invasive procedures (e.g., amniocentesis) as applicable.
- Excellent clinical judgment, communication skills, and ability to provide empathetic, culturally sensitive counseling.
- Commitment to evidence-based practice, continuous learning.
- Prior experience in a dedicated fetal medicine or high-risk pregnancy center is highly desirable.
