Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Federal Skilled Butcher/Slaughter House role located in Karaikal. The responsibilities include handling the butchery of meat products such as poultry, seafood, and other meats, as well as processing meats efficiently and in compliance with regulatory standards. Maintaining high levels of hygiene and safety within the working environment and providing excellent customer service during product interactions will also be integral to the role. Candidates will work collaboratively with other team members to ensure high-quality output and adherence to best practices in meat preparation and handling.
Qualifications
- Expertise in butchery, including cutting, preparing, and packaging meat products such as poultry, seafood, and other meats
- Proficiency in meat processing techniques to meet quality and safety standards
- Strong customer service skills, ensuring a positive experience for all clients and customers
- Ability to maintain hygiene and sanitation standards in compliance with federal regulations
- Good understanding of workplace safety and equipment handling
- Physical stamina to handle heavy lifting and stand for extended periods
- Prior experience in a butcher/slaughterhouse role is an advantage
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred
