Role Overview We are seeking a Technical Lead (Java | Angular) to drive the design, development, and deployment of high-performance POS applications. This role combines hands-on development with team leadership, ensuring technical excellence while mentoring developers and defining our cloud-native strategy (GCP). Key Responsibilities 1. Technical Leadership Architect, develop, and deploy POS applications using Java, Spring, Hibernate, and Angular (16+). Ensure scalability, performance, and maintainability of applications. Drive the adoption of cloud-native architectures on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Establish and optimize CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and deployment tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana). 2. Team & Process Management Lead and mentor a team of developers, fostering a culture of technical excellence. Set goals, manage priorities, and ensure adherence to Agile & Scrum methodologies. Collaborate with global teams across Philippines and Australia to define and execute product roadmaps. Conduct code reviews, enforce best practices, and optimize development workflows. 3. Innovation & Continuous Improvement Stay ahead of emerging technologies, bringing in new tools and methodologies. Ensure adherence to security, performance, and architectural best practices. Enhance DevOps efficiency by leveraging containerization (Docker) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform). Must-Have Skills 8+ years of experience in Java development (Spring Framework, Hibernate). 3+ years in a senior/principal engineering role with team leadership responsibilities. Strong hands-on experience in Angular (16+) for frontend development. Experience designing and implementing scalable cloud-based solutions (GCP preferred, AWS is a plus). Strong knowledge of SQL, and exposure to tools like JasperReports & Firebase is a plus. Proficiency in CI/CD management using GitHub Actions and build tools like Maven, Ant, and GitHub. Experience with automated testing frameworks (e.g., Marathon) and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana). Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills. Excellent English communication skills, with experience working in distributed global teams.
