About the role

As a member of the Finance team, you will experience a varied, fast-paced role where you will gain exposure across the function. You'll be hands-on, supporting FBC UK Finance teams to contribute by providing financial analysis and supporting the commercial team to integrate the commercial dimensions and aiming to elaborate input guidelines and strategic plan. This is a full-time, 1-year FTC, hybrid role based at our headquarters in St Albans. As a graduate at Fox's Burton's Company (FBC UK), you'll gain hands-on experience across various departments, mentorship from industry leaders, and the chance to work on exciting projects within your chosen function. With support and guidance from our Learning Team, Line Managers and working as part of an ambitious graduate cohort, you'll gain valuable knowledge and skills in a company that has a rich heritage and a passion for crafting some of the UK's most beloved biscuits. If you are passionate about making a difference, eager to learn, and excited to be part of a company that combines tradition with innovation, FBC UK is the perfect place for you to start your professional journey. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience supporting strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes. You will assist in developing pricing strategies, contributing to long-term financial forecasts, and helping to shape group-wide financial guidelines. Working closely with various departments, you will support the preparation and consolidation of budgets and forecasts, as well as the analysis of risks and opportunities. You will also be involved in the monthly financial close process, investigating variances in pricing, volume, and mix, and helping to explain actual performance against budget and forecast. Additionally, you will support the monitoring of packaging and product destruction costs, and help align operational planning with financial targets. The role includes exposure to cash flow management, including credit outlooks and overdue payment risks, and offers opportunities to contribute to team development initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to build a strong foundation in financial planning and analysis within a dynamic and supportive environment.

We bake our incredible biscuits at eight bakeries across the UK, located at Isle of Arran, Livingston, Blackpool, Llantarnam, Edinburgh, Kirkham, Batley & Dorset and our HQ in St Albans. Whilst we know that we have delicious products we also know that the key ingredient to our success is our people, and the passion we have for our brands.
