As a Plant Material Planner, you will be responsible for ensuring the alignment of production line delivery with minimum stock targets and logistics costs. You will be responsible for building and following up the procurement program, managing the supplier delivery performance and the logistics partners service, achieving the transportation program and the transportation scheme, directing the packaging management, ensuring the compliance of the logistics conventions, and verifying the sales and production plan capacity requirements.

Overall Responsibilities And Duties

The role of a Material Planner is to verify that production line delivery aligns with minimum stock targets and logistics costs. The main missions of the role are to:

  • Build up the Procurement Program by dividing and leveling piece procurements
  • Follow up the Procurement Program realization by managing alert systems and follow the unloading, receipt and transportation of pieces.
  • Follow supplier delivery performance (supplier Mis deliveries Per Million) and the service of logistics partners and propose appropriate improvement action plans.
  • Achieve the transportation program on a monthly basis and the transportation scheme semi-annually.
  • Direct packaging management.
  • Ensure that logistics conventions comply with purchasing objectives and support conditions set by suppliers for procurement and packaging and by logistics partners for transport and services.
  • Verify that Sales and Production Plan (PIC) capacity requirements can be supported by suppliers and implement corrective actions when necessary
  • Organize equipment and human resources.
  • Look for productivity gains.
  • Manage, train and coach logistics operators' team
  • Develop the team: ensure proper staffing, integrate new team members, foster individual development plans, advise and arrange for appropriate training, assure punctual job evaluations, etc.
  • Ensure that working conditions are fully compliant with Group HSE standards: interfere in production line in case of safety risks and drive improvement of working conditions and ergonomics.


Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have/be:

Minimum education level

  • Diploma /BE/B.Tech in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering
  • 5-8 years of experience in Logistic system process


Technical Competencies

  • Operational Knowledge on Lean manufacturing

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Operational Level English
